The Dark Knight Review

Here it is, my first official review.
I am under the assumption that most if not all of America has watched The Dark Knight at some point since it released in 2008. If not beware of SPOILERS (if there are any)
When I first watched this movie, I didnt know what to expect. I hadnt watched Batman Begins (I know, a stupid move) or any Nolan film for that matter. Being a Spiderman kind of guy my whole life, I wasnt sure if my money was well spent.
After the introductory bank robbery sequence, and the hilarious yet methodical deaths of the henchmen, I was waiting for the Joker to be revealed. And when he took off that mask, I did not expect that kind of voice from Heath Ledger. So yes, I was fascinated with the opening sequence. That was when something clicked in my brain telling me this movie was going to be special. After a couple of Holy Shit that just happeneds and jaw drops, just merely 45 minutes into the movies, Batman had become my favorite superhero.
Some criticize the films actions scenes as too clunky or dark but watching Batman beat the living hell out of stupid ass mob bosses and Chinese police officers, I have to say it was quite exhilrating.
Now, without a doubt, the ensemble cast all played their roles flawlessly and Aaron Eckhart, Christian Bale and Heath Ledger stood out as fantastic.
Harvey Dent and the Joker are two sides of the coin. One is a good man striving to bring Gotham back to it's glory while the other is just an unstoppable force of chaos and anarchy. Seeing both these sides collide and Batman hanging in the balance was very interesting.
Some moments in this movie, combined with the score and the dialouge were just too epic that I could not believe the many goosebumps i was getting from witnessing them.
Lastly, the moral ideas presented in the movie dont just apply to Gotham, but they could apply to our world as well. The Joker's lines especially are so bone chillingly true that it makes you start to question humanity. But that is just the brilliance of Nolan.
I have to say Batman, Dent, and The Joker had THE lines in this movie. Batman's at the end described his character so perfectly that it makes this Batman franchise the definitive one.
So I have to say, The Dark Knight deserves a 10/10.

Wow, it feels fantastic to actually be posting my first blog. Well, half the reason I am even doing this is because after watching JeremyJahns and his fantastic reviews on Youtube, I felt like I should be open with my thoughts about movies. So I guarantee you check him out on his youtube channel or on the side bar. He's hilarious, accurate, and quite witty.

Ill try to go to video reviews soon because then I can start conveying my humor.
